For many years Obicà is close to Fondazione Francesca Rava - NPH Onlus to help children in Haiti. Since 2010 we have actively taken part in the fight against malnutrition donating a mobile bakery, dairy cows, bees for honey production, thousands of pasta boxes and drinkable water.
The realisation of these projects has been possible especially thanks to all your donations. You contributed to the cause, indeed, in greater numbers every year, helping us collecting hundreds of thousands euros to support the foundation initiatives and make them become real. And, in view of the upcoming Holidays, we take the opportunity to bear the projects of Fondazione Rava, given the increasing difficulties that Haiti is facing during this period. In fact, the country, that has always been characterised by a precarious economic situation and by high percentages of child mortality, is now facing the Covid-19 emergency with a scarce accessibility to vaccines and low oxygen availability within the few intensive cares in the hospitals.
The Fondazione Francesca Rava has realised and supported a lot of immediate help and empowerment projects, among which 36 street schools in Saint Luc, that welcome every day 16.000 children between 2 and 16 years old, in capitol’s slums as well as in remote provinces.
For them going to school means counting on a warm meal, receiving pasta and bread periodically, be treated, staying out from the risks of street life, receiving the necessary education and learn a job.
This Christmas, together with Fondazione Rava, help the children of Haiti supporting Saint Luc street’s schools.
